Information we collect

Image conversion runs on your device. We do not receive your source files or converted files. When you visit the site, Google Analytics may collect page URLs, page views, browser and device information, approximate location, and cookie identifiers. Requests to our hosting provider may also include technical information such as your IP address and request time.

How data is used

We use usage and technical data to understand traffic, improve the service, diagnose errors, and maintain security. Image content is processed only to generate your requested conversion in your browser; it is not used for analytics or advertising.

Storage and retention

We do not upload or keep image files on our servers. Files and conversion results may remain in the open browser tab until you remove them or close it; downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them. Analytics cookies and provider records have their own retention periods under the provider’s policies.

Security

Local conversion reduces disclosure of file content to servers. No website, browser, or device is completely secure. Keep your browser updated and protect access to your device and downloaded files.

Google Analytics and third-party services

This site currently loads Google Analytics in production and does not currently load an advertising script. Google may set or read cookies and receive page URLs, IP addresses, and device information when its services are used. Its handling of that data is described in the resources below; image files are not sent to Google.

Google advertising cookies

If Google AdSense is enabled on this site, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. These data may be used to deliver and personalize ads, measure advertising performance, and prevent fraud. Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also use cookies when serving ads through Google; the actual providers depend on the advertising configuration.

Cookies and your choices

You can turn off Google personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings. You can also visit AboutAds to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating third-party vendors. Opting out does not remove all ads or stop all data collection; non-personalized ads may still use data for measurement and fraud prevention. Some choices apply only to the current browser or device and may need to be repeated after clearing cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser and use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on separately.

Privacy questions and requests

For privacy questions or requests about data you have provided, email support@webp-converter.net. Do not attach sensitive images. We cannot retrieve or delete files that remain only on your device; for Google-held data, use Google’s privacy controls.

Policy updates

We will publish changes on this page and revise the date above. Please review this policy when you use the service. Advertising disclosures describe what applies if advertising is enabled; they do not by themselves activate advertising or record your consent.
